Rose Rezaei

Rose is an Assistant Director of the Center for Health Advocacy and Wellness. Her main responsibilities include overseeing campus wide initiatives encompassing sexual violence prevention and sexual health education. Rose received her Bachelor's in Mass Communication and Master's in College Student Affairs from the University of South Florida. Creating space where students feel empowered to take ownership of their lives through education and skill building serves as the foundation of her work. Outside of FSU, she enjoys attending community events, thrift shopping, and traveling.

Joi D. Alexander

Joi D. Alexander

Joi is an Assistant Director of the Center for Health Advocacy and Wellness. Her main responsibilities include overseeing campus wide initiatives encompassing alcohol, tobacco and other drug education/prevention and wellness initiatives. Joi received both her Master's and Bachelor's in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University. She is currently the Chair of FSU's Healthy Campus 2020 Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs sub-committee. Her passion is in creating diverse and inclusive spaces that empower individuals and communities to make healthy lifestyle decisions that facilitate academic success and lead to life-long health and wellness. Outside of FSU, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jose Carval

Jose Carval

Jose is the Green Dot Coordinator. His main responsibilities include coordinating the implementation of the Green Dot Bystander Intervention Program, educating students on the Green Dot bystander intervention approach, collaborating with key campus stakeholders and developing partnerships throughout the university. He received his Bachelor's in International Affairs from Florida State University and plans to soon begin working on his Master's in Higher Education. On his spare time Jose enjoys making music, sports, and spending as much time as he can out doors with his fiancé Nicole and his dog Jeter.

Kori Pruett

Kori Pruett

Kori is the Sexual Violence Prevention Coordinator. Her main responsibilities include educating students on the dynamics of sexual violence, the myths that surround sexual violence, ways to obtain and define consent, empowering students through bystander intervention, and informing students about campus resources and support. She is also the Co-Chair of the Curriculum Development Sexual Violence Prevention Sub Committee. Kori received her Master's and Bachelor's in International Affairs from Florida State University. In her spare time she participates in community service organizations, enjoys outdoor adventures, and travels to as many new locations as possible!

Kelly Grove

Kelly Grove

Kelly is the Sexual Health Coordinator in the Center for Health Advocacy and Wellness. Her responsibilities include improving the sexual health of FSU students through education, outreach, advising, contraception distribution, and STI testing. Kelly graduated from FSU with a Master's Degree in the Sociology of Health and a Graduate Minor in Women's Studies. She is passionate about promoting sexual discourse that is inclusive, healthy, and sex-positive. In her spare time Kelly is enjoys her family, food and beaches.

Jason A. Davis

Jason A. Davis

Jason is CHAW's Prevention Coordinator. He aims to educate students about the effects of substance use and abuse, such as alcohol and tobacco but focusing on other drugs. Harm reduction, individual empowerment and responsibility, and values development are key components of his work in higher education. Jason earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Richmond and his master's in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Indiana University. He enjoys exploring local dining options as well as cooking at home, staying active and watching his favorite TV shows.

Sadiki Perry

Sadiki Perry

Sadiki is CHAW's Office Coordinator. His main responsibilities include the management, administration and organizational workflow of CHAW. Sadiki earned his bachelor's degree in Economics and plans to earn his master's degree in the future. In his spare time, He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two sons, playing basketball and exercise.

Joanne Perez-Vergara

Joanne Perez-Vergara

Joanne is the Health & Wellness dietitian. Her main responsibilities include promoting a "no diet" approach and Health at Every Size mentality on campus, helping students achieve a more positive body image and working with students with disordered eating. She is, also, the co-chair FSU's Healthy Campus 2020 Physical Health sub-committee.

Joanne graduated from Framingham State College with a BS in Nutritional Sciences, completed her internship with the US Army, where she remained on active duty as an officer for 5 years, and went on to receive her MS in Management from NC State. In her free time, she is a runner, wanna be chef, avid reader, beach lover, wife and mom.

Heather Fisher

MS, RD, LD/N

Heather is the Nutritionist in the Center for Health Advocacy and Wellness. She provides nutrition education and counseling to students and helps coordinate the FSU Eating Disorder Treatment Team. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Food and Nutrition from FSU and is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Her main passion is to help prevent eating disorders, promote evidence based weight management behaviors and encourage and support students in making informed food choices for life long wellness. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, trying new cuisines and restaurants and watching funny movies.
